Part II of the novel occurs entirely in February 1793, except possibly for
the last day (when Caron sets out for Paris) which could be March 1—every
other day is explicitly declared to be in February. But as with Part
I, we can tell nothing more. The length of Caron's mission in Antwerp
is key, including time for travel from Bellecour to Antwerp, discharging
his duties there, and return as far as Boisvert. The longer this
mission took, the earlier in February must have been the rising on
Bellecour, and the later in February must have been the capture of
Ombreval.
